Brief Explanation: The green circles represent the Shomrim Oregon, the blue ones represent Shomrim Haifa. The diagram runs chronologically through Shomer Achi, beginning in October/November '08 when each group volunteers and participates in dialogues in their own communities, as well as in internet conferences that connect the two groups. The arrows indicate the HaKesher Alef (Spring 09) and HaKesher Bet (August '09), during which the two communities come together to volunteer, engage in dialogue, and develop leadership skills. The striped circles represent the Shomrim after implementing social initiatives in their communities, completing Shomer Achi, and as Jewish mentors and leaders with new perspectives gained from their fellow Shomrim and shared experiences.
